Day 365

It is the last day! I have spent a while trying to think of what to photograph. I kept thinking I wanted to do something meaningful that spoke about my future, but while I was playing with Clarabelle, she gave me my final photo. It was the second time she had an accident today. After she did it the second time, I yelled then chased her outside to go potty out there; then on my way to clean it up, I noticed how the pee kind of looked cool. Yes, I understand that I am showing the world how my carpet has been soiled, but who's isn't? Plus, I think she knew she was giving me a photo that kind of went directly in line with my first photo of this project.

Carleigh Marie Williamson was born today! My first niece. She is beautiful. This is my first photo of her with many, many more to come. Jaden is an amazing little boy raised by many people who love him dearly. Carleigh will no doubt be just as awesome and loved.

I love the Easter Vigil Mass. It may be the longest mass out of the year, but it is very beautiful.

It is truck month for Bauman Lunch! We checked out Two For The Road. It was great American comfort food. I had the Captain Crunch Crab Cakes. They were delicious.

So I went in with low expectations. Really low. I couldn't believe that the annoying girls on the television show could have really delicious cupcakes. Yes, I know many people praise these cupcakes, but I can't take everyone's word for it. People like some bad food, especially if there is a media popularity behind it. Basically, they like it because it is popular; don't get me started on the Mona Lisa. Anyhoo, the frosting was delicious, the cakes were okay. The cakes lacked some flavor and lightness, but their buttercream is amazing. I think I could just sit there and eat an entire container of it.

Paul and I arrived in Baltimore close to 12pm their time (I took this photo in time for Pacific time...). We were kind of tired, but more just annoyed with the people we had to fly with. Come on, who sits in a packed plane loudly playing the most annoying high pitched beat over and over and over again with no change. Plus, I was reminded why flying with a head cold is a horrible idea.

Of course I can't stop taking pictures of Clarabelle. She is just too adorable.

It took me a bit to try to think of a name, but once I started thinking of Disney, I just felt Clarabelle was perfect. She already responds well to it. We are so excited. She is very sweet and is learning fast... just not as fast as I would like so we don't have any pee accidents inside the house. lol.

Today was super busy. Paul and I went to the animal shelter and adopted an adorable Whippet mix puppy. I had to finish editing these photos from a Girl Scout daycamp. The girls were learning about robotics, they seem fascinated, huh.

This is Jack Black again. Last time I photographed him, he was brown since he loves to roll in the dirt. I was just in love with the sky today. I wanted to photograph it over and over and over, but only JB would pose for me.

I really like this photo. I took it with my phone, so its very simple. But I love all the detail left in the mirror. There is almost no sky in the area I am, some sky in the direction I am heading, and the only real sky detail is behind me and is a coming storm. It just seems to have this deeper meaning that you can drag out of it. I just really like the mask of simplicity. If you haven't noticed, I love love love layers.

I know this isn't the most awesome of photos but I am mostly posting it out of spite for Paul. He wouldn't let me take a photo, kept trying to speed by. I don't like how people slow down to see an accident on the other side of the freeway, but hey it was close enough to us, I had to try for a photo.

Sometimes Paul and I will go to In and Out late at night after we get done with work and school. My heart warmed seeing the older couple there at the same time.

Got free advanced screening tickets to see Arthur. Of course there was a long line, but it was so worth having to listen to the most idiotic conversations in line. Make time to see the film. It was really good.

Went to a friend's play, he was in Fiddler on the Roof which is an amazing musical. I love it, but I think it is more for the sentimental value. Anyway, went to Claire de Lune's after (of course since the theatre was across the street). They seriously had a brownie New York Cheesecake. How could I pass that up? Add a Chai Tea Frap with soy and I am plum dandy.

I did my first engagement session with a friend from culinary school. Actually, I found out that I went to high school with her fiance. Well it was a whole lot of fun. Congratulations to both of them.

Paul and I are starting to do a monthly food challenge for dinner. This month, since it was the first, was the "ABC Challenge." We had to make something that had three main ingredients that started with A, B, and C. I made Asparagus and Bacon Cream Risotto. Paul made Apple Clafoutis with a Berry Compote. Golden House Chinese Food on Palm Ave. is so delicious and you will always get fast and good service. Try their cream cheese wontons. They are seriously the best ever.

"I am big, its the pictures that got smaller." I didn't know Sunset Blvd was such a saddening film. Good, but sad.

I attended Youth Day in Anaheim for the first time. I quickly realized this whole event was directed to teens when the priest opened the mass with "Hey Dawg."

One thing I have always admired about my mother is her prayer. She always has at least one candle lit praying for someone we love. It almost reminds me of these Babylonian prayer statues. They would create a statue that represented their self in prayer and place them in the temple so that they would always be in prayer.

Okay so this is why I didn't post all week. I was pretty much dwelling in self pity. Paul and I had a tough week for many reasons. One being that we found a puppy we loved but were unable to adopt him. Someone adopted him about an hour before we got there. It was heart breaking.

If you couldn't already tell, I love my nephew. He is so awesome. Every time I speak with him, I am just blown away with how smart he is. He is very impressive.

After Paul went to work I rode my bike to the mall then came home and watched the rest of season one of Reaper. I love my dark comedies. If you have never seen Dead Like Me, you are missing out. Check out Better Off Ted (not a dark comedy, but a hilarious satire). I can go on with awesome shows that were unfortunately cancelled, but I'll save my obsession with tv some other time.

It was my Dad's Birthday today. Happy Birthday Daddy! I am so disappointed in myself for having forgotten my camera at home, so I wasn't able to take any photos since my phone also died.
