Paul and I are starting to do a monthly food challenge for dinner. This month, since it was the first, was the "ABC Challenge." We had to make something that had three main ingredients that started with A, B, and C. I made Asparagus and Bacon Cream Risotto. Paul made Apple Clafoutis with a Berry Compote. Golden House Chinese Food on Palm Ave. is so delicious and you will always get fast and good service. Try their cream cheese wontons. They are seriously the best ever.

"I am big, its the pictures that got smaller." I didn't know Sunset Blvd was such a saddening film. Good, but sad.

I attended Youth Day in Anaheim for the first time. I quickly realized this whole event was directed to teens when the priest opened the mass with "Hey Dawg."

One thing I have always admired about my mother is her prayer. She always has at least one candle lit praying for someone we love. It almost reminds me of these Babylonian prayer statues. They would create a statue that represented their self in prayer and place them in the temple so that they would always be in prayer.

Okay so this is why I didn't post all week. I was pretty much dwelling in self pity. Paul and I had a tough week for many reasons. One being that we found a puppy we loved but were unable to adopt him. Someone adopted him about an hour before we got there. It was heart breaking.

If you couldn't already tell, I love my nephew. He is so awesome. Every time I speak with him, I am just blown away with how smart he is. He is very impressive.

After Paul went to work I rode my bike to the mall then came home and watched the rest of season one of Reaper. I love my dark comedies. If you have never seen Dead Like Me, you are missing out. Check out Better Off Ted (not a dark comedy, but a hilarious satire). I can go on with awesome shows that were unfortunately cancelled, but I'll save my obsession with tv some other time.

It was my Dad's Birthday today. Happy Birthday Daddy! I am so disappointed in myself for having forgotten my camera at home, so I wasn't able to take any photos since my phone also died.

So its Madi Gras. Since people use this as another excuse to drink a lot, there were a ton of cops out. I figured I would be fine taking the trolley from City College to the Hilton at 10pm.

My favorite spice. If you haven't done so already. Put cinnamon sugar on buttered popcorn, its amazing. Throw in some jalapenos and it will blow your mind.

I took Carmen out to practice using my speedlight. I had to keep telling her to "smise" and giving her Top Model advice. I think she was getting tired of my "adivce."
